Operation Smile was founded in 1982 in Virginia by Bill and Kathy Magee. Operation Smile’s US staff have worked from a specially-designed, environmentally-friendly 73,000 square foot facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia since 2013.
Over 120 full-time staff currently work in the Virginia Beach office, in addition to the dozens of community and student volunteers who visit on a daily basis.
